Community of Practice (CoP)
What is a Community of Practice?
A Community of Practice, or CoP, is a group of people who share a common interest and come together to learn from each other, share knowledge, and improve their work.
What is the Online Research for All CoP?
This CoP is focused on building a community of people who are interested in improving the way research is done online with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The website serves as the online library for materials and resources related to our work for the Online Research Methods to Support People with Cognitive Disabilities project and a gathering place for the project's CoP members.
What does the CoP do?
This CoP meets online two times a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall, to hear about updates from the Online Research Methods project team about their work and to learn about what is happening in the field from CoP members and experts.
We also host an email listserv through which the project team can share updates about the project and relevant resources.
How can I join the CoP?
It's easy! Click the "Join our Community of Practice" button below and fill out a short form asking for your contact information.
Work with the disability community to find, test, and share the best ways to do online research with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD.
Create an online version of a survey used by people with IDD, called the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers Survey, or CAHPS, in English and Spanish.
Make and share “how-to” resources based on project findings.
